Let Me Tell You About Me

So I'm Elissa, in case we haven't officially met. I'm the one that also has cellulite, rolls, a double chin, imperfect teeth, and a body that's changed a whole lot thanks to the life of four kids. I'm fueled by tacos, Hot Cheetos, sarcasm, and probably a little too much "we'll figure it out." I laugh at myself a lot, I'm pretty straightforward, and what you see is honestly what you get. Life isn't perfect over here, and I don't expect it to be.

Outside of photography, I'm a mom first. My kids definitely keep me busy, and life around here is usually loud, a little chaotic, and never boring. I also run a lemonade business with my daughter, so if I'm not holding a camera, I'm probably squeezing lemons, loading up for an event, editing pictures, or trying to remember what I forgot before I left the house. I love good vibes, spending time with my family, and finding any excuse to laugh because life is already serious enough.

I never planned on becoming a boudoir photographer. I was just a girl who got a camera for Christmas and started taking pictures of random shit, honestly. I really thought I was doing something taking pictures of trees, benches, and random sunsets. Then I started photographing families and kids, which I absolutely loved. Eventually I shifted my focus to photographing women, because women are beautiful, every single one of them, and getting to capture them in all forms became something I genuinely fell in love with. It stopped feeling like I was just taking pictures. It started feeling like a girls' day. We laugh, we talk, we hype each other up, and somewhere in the middle of it, beautiful photos just happen. That's probably my favorite part. So... now you know a little about me. Hopefully one day, I'll get the chance to get to know you too.
